Bike Races at Angell Park in Sun Prairie WI
Sent from my iPhone
This week, I took my daughter Ella up to WI Dells Wednesday night, just for the night, to go swimming, etc.
We stayed at the Raintree Resort. What a dump. It wasn't to expensive (~$90) but still, just empty, the water park was a joke. Dirty. The next day, they didn't even open the water park until 10 AM, and check out is at 11 AM - how were we supposed to go swimming in the morning? The room itself, just felt dirty, the sheets and bed were dirty and uncomfortable - never again. Next time, going for the big resorts.
Another thing, so we went to MooseJaw and had lunch, and then I wanted to check out Buffalo Phils for Dinner since there are billboards all over, etc. Come to find out they are the same place, or at least under the same management, 95% of the same menu, everything else the same. Man, so basically went to the same restaurant twice :(
Hopefully next time is better!
When plans were unveiled in 2004, the $100 million Union Corners project was supposed to revitalize Madison's east side with some 450 housing units, a full-service grocery, a pharmacy, a hardware store and a restaurant. But five years later, the 15-acre site at the corner of East Washington Avenue and Milwaukee Street is marked mainly by broken concrete and piles of gravel. It has been one of the most visible victims of the economic downturn in Madison. In fact, the only redevelopment that's actually taken place was the creation of the Malt House at 2609 E. Washington Ave., the former Union House Tavern which has been transformed into a craft beer connoisseur's paradise.
Been here a couple of times - Great place. They are right, that it is low key, and putting chairs and such outside would be cool as well, but they are also right that the parking lot is a mess. Coming from someone who has to drive to get to this location, it would be nice if the parking lot was fixed. They way you have to get there when driving East is a mess too, you have to take a left off 151, then a weird U-turn to get back to the Malt House.
I have multiple Posterous spaces. Pictures/Random things, a Google Reader Shared space, etc.. I have a tech blog located at http://blog.stevienova.com
