just my papers, I lost my ID. But papers are good enough for the cops, they should be good enough for Pesty’s. And it isn’t like I haven’t been in there before, I have been there at least 2 times in March, spending money, and that was ok.

Photo ID is the LAW. I was a bartender in college. The LAW is that you cannot serve anyone who does not have a photo ID. It does not matter if you are 21 or 65.

Um…just a word of advice to you… the reason we at Pesty’s check ID’s is so that we don’t end up like the other dirt sack places with fines for letting minors in. I surely do not want to be handcuffed and put in jail for letting some kid have a little booze and not making sure he is old enough and legal to drink. Since the bar has been Pesty’s.. we have not been in any sort of trouble or have ever willingly or knowingly served a minor. Oh and yes.. it is the law to have a valid form of identification on you and available for your bartender to have if you want a damn drink. Most people are happy to be carded because it shows that they do not look their age- but you however; are probably 21 or 22 and get pissed when someone wants to check your ID because you are probably immature!

no, I think I was, 25 at the time? And if I come in there for lunch, and like 2-3 times every week or two weeks, you would think that it would count for something. Nope, even though my id was valid yesterday, it isn’t today? What a joke. And from the comments from “Pesty’s” employees here, I doubt I will ever go back and spend ANY money. Oh well anyways.

you sound like a loser! When you go there for lunch are you drinking? I would think that that the bouncers that carded you probably aren’t working at lunchtime to recognize you. People are just doing their job, grow up!

Awesome because we don’t want to serve people with attitudes like YOU!!! Like the girl above stated..it is the LAW to have a valid ID on your person when you would like to have a drink at a bar! It doesn’t matter if one bartender served you and they know who you are…don’t expect the next one to automatically know who you are!

how are the papers the DMV gives you not a valid id? If it is valid when driving and pulled over as a form of ID, why not in a bar?

@Anon – I didnt go and drink there for lunch, I WENT there for lunch, many times.

I can see from the commenters and comments on here that pesty’s HAS turned into one of those “dirt sack” places you talk about. Oh well, I dont even live in St. Cloud anymore, and I won’t miss it.

Trust me, no one will miss you! When an officer asks to see your ID when being pulled over, your yellow papers along with your photo ID (clipped license) are valid as well as the fact that they are valid in a bar. However; you have them together and the papers cannot be expired. You cannot just give a bartender or police officer one or the other and expect it to be good! Hello!!!! Oh, and the reason places turn into dirt sack bars is because of people like YOU

to solve your ego problem… go to your local police station and ask them if just papers..no ID…is sufficient enough to give to a bartender for identification. You will then realize that you are wrong. Or maybe attend a dram shots session!
