Now that I have a Wii, I’ve been downloading old Nintendo games. The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time, what a great game. Spiller and I played this all through sophomore year of college, between classes and parties. We could never find the triforce though!!

Well, I finally got a Nintendo Wii. I played a ton of tennis tonight, and some baseball and bowling. Downloaded Super Mario Bros. and Zelda on the SNES. I like the other parts of the Wii too, the Weather, News and just the menu design, etc. A good addition to my Xbox 360. Now I just need another controller and a tennis partner!
So, I get a Jury Duty summons, saying I need to fill out a form and mail it back, or I can goto jail. But the return envelope has no postage. What a rip!
OK, so here is my third track. “So Happy” – its hopefully not as sad as the others. I promise my next song will be about rainbows and puppy dogs, I’m sure Brad and Brye will be happy to help me with the lyrics. Once again I’m not to keen on the vocals, but, eh, what do you do.

Thing is, Saturday is like the longest day of the week. Especially if you have no one to hang with. Seems like it can go on forever.

Yeah, people think I sound too sad – well, OK, I promise I’ll write a happy song for all you doubters out there 🙂
We have all been there. Wondering. Usually wondering when we are going to see someone again, if at all. Well, here is, Wondering. Song I wrote. Its the first take, just like 2 minutes after I wrote it. If you listen, I screw it up a few times before actually starting, and I didn’t edit it out. It probably could about 100 times better, so maybe one day I’ll record it again. Yeah, I haven’t stopped playing, just stopped putting stuff up for a while, and this is the first time I’ve put anything I’ve written up, so it’s different. Friends and such know that I wrote stuff, and they want to hear it, or at least have something to make fun of me of :), so here it is:

It is in Austin, TX, and its like a geek and artist fest – Music, Film, Technology. Its close enough to South Padre that I could go visit my grandparents too. We will see whats up in March.
Well, I promised a blog on the 2006 Holiday Party. Good times – as usual. Pre-party at Brye’s, playing Wii and listening to Best of Bootie 2006 – which I think I need to burn about 5 copies of for all the people that want it. Headed down to the hotel, pimped out room for sure, double suite. On to the party, open bar, which is always good. Awards, prizes, hypnotist, karoke/DJ. Fun stuff. I won a 23 inch LCD HD TV – which is really cool. I have it hooked up, but need to get my 360 hooked up, but I need to get a HD cable first I think. We also got bobble heads of ourselves, which I didn’t know what they would look like, but they turned out pretty cool. And, the reason I’m blogging this in the first place, I won the “Tech Dood” of the year award, so instead of a speech, a blog is fitting 🙂 – we will see if next year can top this year~
Ahh, finally it’s back. 24. Probably the best show on TV. And there are two hours tonight. I usually watch TV as background noise, or I really don’t care if I miss or see a show, but 24 is different. Change the IM’s to away, block out everything else – 24 is on. One hour that I’m focused on that and only that. Basically I can’t wait for tonight 🙂
Well, I have been on vacation since 5:00 PM on Dec 21st. It has been a good vacation. Hung out with some friends, went up north, saw my family, had xmas, went out and saw people that I haven’t seen in a while. My buddy that is back from Iraq came up one night to St. Cloud and we partied it up. Recovering from that, I watched a few movies I have been wanting to see, Superman Returns, The DaVinci Code, V for Vendetta, and some others. Then topped it off with a little New Year’s party and James Bond marathon today 🙂 – oh, and don’t forget I had to play a lot of Xbox 360, guitar and piano. I actually wrote a song and recorded it over the break – first time for everything. Maybe if I get some guts I’ll post it up for public consumption. I even took some time and pimped out my MySpace page – well, just changed the colors 🙂
As far as xmas gifts, I’d have to say, the best things? Bose Headphones (so I can jam out after 10 pm – yes!), Pajama Pants (can always use these), Beatles Love CD (blows my mind), Buffalo Wild Wings Gift Certificate (oh – heck yeah!) – oh and don’t forget the Jag – with the two shot glasses.
Throughout the vacation, I tried *not* to work. Its tough – I went on invisible on IM, didn’t VPN in, so if I wanted to check email I was forced to use Outlook Web, didn’t look at reports or worry too much about things. This was pretty much my first vacation since August of 2005 when I went to Chicago for a few days. It will be good to get back into the swing of things though, I’m already itching for it. People always say I should just go on a trip or something – well, I’ll save that for the next vacation 🙂
I hope everyone had a good 2006, and is ready to have a great 2007. It can only get better.
