This weekend I decided to check out EV-DO card options. I found a card from Verizon for 9.99 online at their site, so I couldn’t go wrong. I am using it right now, which is pretty sweet. The whole city of Portland is covered by their Broadband Access, so that is good.
Now I don’t have to worry about shotty wifi! 🙂

congrats… but some research may have served you well.
there is a reason that v640 is only $10. it cannot take advantage of higher “Rev-A” speeds verizon has converted its entire EVDO network too:

doh! Yeah I figured there was some catch. Really I chose that one too because it said Windows Vista capable. I will walk over to Verizon today and try to exchange it/buy the 740 instead
