Check out my apt from a “bird’s eye” point of view
Online mapping has come a long way in a short time. Google Maps was taking the cake for a while, then it was ask.com maps (at least for the Central MN area), well now, Live Virtual Earth is really #1 at this point. With Bird’s Eye and also the 3D option you can install, its almost like Google Earth’s desktop client.

Man, I like Live Virtual Earth by MS. The problem I had with the bird’s eye view is that it was a photo from the 80’s or something. Our W3i building shows up (though under construction). We moved in July 2006, so these photos are first part of 2006. Nice!

yeah, my guess is that they have more “civilized” areas to shoot before Central MN π

Oh thanks. I may have to send you a bill for my loss of productivity due to all the hours I spending zooming around on this.

It was cool to see my house from all angles, definitely the best view from any of the programs I’ve used. Other addresses that I’ve put in, though, are behind in the currentness (is that a word?) of their photos vs. others. Nice little database to have to keep up to date, huh?

yeah, I am guessing there are terabytes of data on this. I’m sure Central MN isnt top on their list to fly over every day and take pix either π
