Nothing better to do on a rainy Iron Range afternoon. There were three lawn mowers in this race, I think I could have walked faster around the track.
Email Nice – Hyperlinks
I found out today Im guilty. Guilty of sending emails where my hyperlinks I paste inside them arent actually hyperlinks, so that the user getting the email has to copy and paste them into their browser. What a PITA if you ask me. I see that you actually have to hit ENTER after pasting a url for the autoformat to work correctly. I looked a little bit for a macro or add-in that would auto check for hyperlinks that weren’t actually “hyper” before sending an email, but couldn’t find one easily. Maybe I will look into VS2005 for Office and just create a little add-in. Or I suppose I could just hit ENTER 🙂
Vista Beta 2
Well, tonight I took the plunge and installed Microsoft Windows Vista Beta 2 on my Dell PC at home. I am liking it so far. Alot of security alerts. Its always nice to start digging into the new technology as soon as you can. I have tried a few programs and found they don’t work, you would think that software makers would be starting to test and have updates, etc. Hopefully by the time of launch we will see more app compatability, etc. It is a memory hog (runs at 800 mb constant), but I guess that is expected with the video/display changes (Aero). I’m actually going to try to use IE7 and see how well it works, instead of Firefox, until I can’t stand it anymore. Anyone know of any cool tricks in Vista that arent there in XP?
Veign Pixeur Tool
ok, im blogging this because on every pc I install, I always install this tool but can never find the homepage. This is the coolest little color picker for windows, I use it when I want to hack colors 🙂

Ipod – Day 2
well, I finally got all my music copied over. I also figured out, that if you want to charge your ipod and listen to music at the same time (without itunes installed) – in my computer, find your Ipod, and eject. Then you can listen to music while it charges – cool 🙂
Ipod
At work, I moved to a tempoary building until construction on our new building is completed, and we are running over a wifi bridge. Since I can’t stream music anymore, I needed to get something – so i picked up a 60 GB ipod. Im not using Itunes though, using MediaMonkey instead, didnt even have to install Itunes – pretty slick. Its a video ipod, so i will have to check that out, and since I have roughly over 40 GB of music, I have some room to spare, for now 🙂
Well, I sold pocketblogger.net this weekend. I had a good offer, and I took the guy up on it. I havent done much with the site in a while, but it was still getting good traffic, etc. I still have the program/code (I didnt sell that, just the domain and website currently there) – so i might just create a subdomain on stevienova – pb.stevienova.com or something, we’ll see 🙂
At The Lake
Watching the sun go down at the lake…
Office 2007 Beta 2
I installed Office 2007 Beta 2 – seems like some things are not there, but expected for a beta. The new categorizations are cool, but the search folder for them doesnt work. Also, RSS Feeds folder is cool, but my opml from newsgator online wont import, dont know why either. Dug through the help, but didnt find anything that said why it might not insert…but I am liking it so far..
So who else plays Xbox 360? What are you gamer tags? What games do you play? I play Call of Duty 2 and King Kong right now. I just picked up Oblivion too, can’t wait to start that. I also picked up some used games, original Xbox games – Ford Mustang Racing, Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic, and Cabelas Deer Hunting. EB Games – seriously they need to post what original Xbox games work with the 360. I pulled xbox.com up on my pocket pc at the store, but come on. I used it, this other guy there also asked me about a game. The employees were like “dood, it changes too often” – whatever – print it out once a week.
